The Technology Chronicles : iPhone prototype finder regrets "mistake"

The Technology Chronicles : iPhone prototype finder regrets "mistake"

I’ll bet he regrets it. This is the bonehead who found the new iphone prototype at the bar and instead of returning it to its owner (which by the way was obvious to all, but those who chose not to look) sold it to Gizmodo for $5 grand. The least you can say is this guy ( who had absolutely no intentions of returning it) stole it and Gizmodo received stolen property. Read for yourself and decide.

The Power Of The Flight Attendant: Stupid Stewardess

You're about to poop your pants because you've eaten something bad. The flight attendant doesn't want to get out of your way. You push by her. You are arrested.

Here's the deal from MSNBC:

A man who says he desperately needed to use an airplane bathroom after eating something bad in Honduras faces a federal charge after being accused of twisting a flight attendant's arm to get to the lavatory, the FBI said Wednesday.
Joao Correa, 43, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he had a bathroom emergency 30 minutes into a March 28 Delta Air Lines flight from Honduras to Atlanta, but found the single coach aisle on the Boeing 737 blocked by a beverage cart. He said he asked if he could use the lavatory in business class, but was told no.

Transportation Security Administration policy requires passengers on international flights to use the restroom in their seating class. When the cart wasn't moved after a few minutes, Correa said, he ran for the business class lavatory. He said the flight attendant put up her arm to block him, and he grabbed it to keep his balance. A Delta flight attendant said Correa grabbed her right arm, pulled it down and twisted it, according to authorities. There is nothing worse than a petty tyrant with absolute power. How many evil flight attendants have you encountered? Yeah, me too.

Now, my point in all this is to demonstrate what happens when someone has absolute power. It's not pretty. And that sort of power in a government official is even more awful. People become a-holes with impunity. Why not? No one can do anything about their bad behavior.
Now, picture a government official invading your health care choices. Yeah.

Do you believe America is evil?

Are you willing to bring down the very intuitions that brought you liberty and prosperity?

Can you blindly follow orders, even when it seems counter to all reason and common sense?

If you answered yes to these questions, the U.S. government is hiring and may have a position for you, and Monster.gov is where you apply.

For decades we have fought to destroy this Republic’s founding principles. Battles have been won: the New Deal and the Great Society, the take-over of America’s education system and most media outlets. Now with The Party controlling 2.4 of the three branches of government we have the opportunity to win the war and end America's reign once and for all.
~
Then from the ash heap of Old America we will build a New America. Based on a constitution which will state what the government must do for you. Gone will be that tried old negative rights constitution.

We can not do this alone, we need you to help. So if you are ill-informed, clueless about history, susceptible to demagoguery, and/or suffering from a mental disorder, you are just what we are looking for.

Van Jones

Before going to Monster.gov I was trying to destroy America one plate glass window at a time and doing it for free. Now I have a career, a paycheck, and I’m actually affecting change.

Monster.gov is working hard to finding me placement. I’m still unemployed at this time but I’m hopeful. Perhaps I’m over-qualified.

Senator Jim DeMint fights for Congressional Term Limits

Recently, Sen. DeMint introduced a "Term Limits for All" bill that would serve as an amendment to the U.S. Constitution if it were to gain enough support in Congress and among the American people. The bill would finally put an end an era of permanent politicians on Capitol Hill by limiting House members to three terms, and senators to two. So far Sens. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), Kay Baily Hutchison (R-Texas) and Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) have signed on as cosponsors of the bill.

Communists Sue Democratic Party For Stealing Platform

In a surprise move, the CPUSA (Communist Party USA) has announced a lawsuit against the Democratic Party and its leadership for the alleged theft of intellectual property. The plaintiffs claim that the entire so-called "new" Democratic agenda is, in fact, the product of a decades-long, painstaking campaign by CPUSA theorists, agitators, and underground subversive cells - which makes it the intellectual property of the Communist Party USA, protected by American copyright laws.
"They stole our entire platform, rebranded it 'progressive', and claimed it as their own," declared a CPUSA spokesperson at a press conference in San Francisco. "And we communists say, not so fast! Not in this country anyway, where we still have property rights and the rule of law, thank God! Actually, let me rephrase that..."

The Communist Party representative explained that government ownership of the auto and financial industries, redistribution of wealth, and free rationed healthcare have always been among the glorious CPUSA objectives: "We held on to these goals through all the difficult years of factional infighting, purges, denunciations, and heroic espionage on behalf of the Soviet intelligence services.
"This may seem like a foreign idea to you, but we sacrificed everything for it - our friends, our neighbors, and our nation. We suffered from all kinds of ulcers and split personality disorders by blindly following Stalin's directives. We risked our chances of promotion within US government agencies by dutifully advancing Soviet foreign policy. And for what? So that some spoiled Democrats could ride on our backs to power while throwing us crumbs in the form of minor cabinet appointments?
"It's just like taking someone else's hard-earned income and redistributing it! ... Never mind, bad example... It's like infiltrating a respectable organization and taking over its management while engaging in subversive propaganda and the rewriting of history... Whoops, bad example again... It's like being devoid of moral standards and rejecting all the norms and values of Judeo-Christian civilization... No, that was totally inappropriate. Scratch that...
"It's time we got our fair share of credit from the current administration. As a gesture of good will, we would be pleased to accept the credit in the form of stimulus checks, subsidies, and loan guarantees for our members. If not now, when?"
CPUSA lawyers presented documents to the press showing that the Democratic platform of 2010, almost-line-for-line, reiterates the CPUSA platform of 1963. As the lead attorney for the plaintiffs pointed out, even a casual reading shows that while the rhetoric occasionally varies, the underlying policies are nearly identical.
"If the public knew that all the Democrat ideas are ours, we'd have more high-paying jobs in the Obama administration," remarked the CPUSA spokesperson. "While all our members can't be czars, we should at least get royalties. We can't survive on government handouts alone, not yet anyway."
This announcement seems to overturn past communist policy favoring the liquidation of czars and royalty.
The Democratic National Committee has declined to issue an official comment on the lawsuit, but a high-ranking White House official stated privately that this development is the result of an historically inevitable "convergence of opposites" - a philosophical concept outlined by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels - whereby the American public catches up with the glorious promise of communism, while the CPUSA becomes so American that it becomes embroiled in litigation. "Don't quote me on this," he added, "but Barack and I believe we can easily reconcile whatever minor differences we have with the CPUSA, and work together to prepare Americans for the final march, in well-organized and neat columns, towards our radiant progressive future."
